From the designer’s website design page:
Outlander Claire fur cowl is inspired by a fur cowl that character Claire Fraser wears in the TV series.
Outlander is known for its costumes and knitwear, as worn by Claire Fraser and her daughter, Brianna.

Held aran yarn double.
Started the two stands so one is the darkest section and the other is the lightest so the blend makes for subtle shading thru out.

Gauge is a little tricky to measure.
The designer doesn’t specify whether the gauge given was the rib pattern or st st.
I cast on a few more stitches to be sure is wasn’t too snug at the shoulders.
Elected to work one set of decreases for the st st upper section.

CO 80, 2 x 2 rib section.
Worked 72 st for st st section.
