Notes

Many thanks to Ms. Alina for making this rectangle version of the Giverny shawl. The original shawl is a design marvel. Because of the undulating pattern, converting the shawl into into a rectangular scarf is not an easy process.

This is one of the most beautiful and luxurious things I’ve ever made. I say the same for the design- incredibly beautiful and luxurious.

Donating this shawl for a prize at daughter in law’s baby shower.

Worked the CO 54 size. The directions are well written and the designer keeps up with the KAL posts.

These two yarns together are very pretty and this scarf is spectacular! Used the darker Waxwing as MC garter row yarn and the lighter Tawny as the CC lace insert.

Got the hang of the mini row lace inserts quickly and it progressed nicely. It’s remarkably easy to memorize the mini rows. They’re quite fun to work up!

If you’re thinking about making this scarf or the Giverny shawl, you must! It’s not hard. If I can do it, anyone can. I avoid color work projects! It looks complicated to execute but it isn’t. I made it in a month, working on it in the evenings. I worked on a couple other projects then, too.

I have this same Rowan Fine Art yarn in two other colors that coord well, so I plan on making this again. I’ll do the CO 70 st as written.
