I wouldn’t categorize this design as easy.
The beginning slip ring is tricky to make and a garden variety magic ring could have been used instead.

The granny squares are different than the usual 3-dc groupings one typically sees, which is nice. The row sequence is very pretty.

Added small half motif triangle at center, each side, so the bag is a little deeper.
Added canvas belting adjustable strap, tan button closure and coord fabric liner with pockets.

Stitch counts could be more detailed, such as specifying the number of dc’s needed per side not including the corners on row 4, 5 & 6.
Rows 7 & 8 are repeats of r 4 & 5, so per side dc counts would be very helpful there as well.

If one is not changing colors every round, one needs to adapt the beginning / ending corners.

Design requires three granny squares. Each one takes about 50 g = 100 y.
