Notes

What a stunning design.
This is one of the prettiest vine flower motifs I’ve ever seen.
I have no idea how the designer came up with all the stitches.
It is refreshing to see a design with not just garter stitch and a border, but garter stitch, mock cable columns which transition directly into the decorative border.
It’s a design marvel.

Instructions:
Ms. Kristina’s instructions are formatted beautifully. I am not a chart person so I very much appreciate the written line by line directions. Her stitch glossary and photo tutorials are clear. Further, Ms. Kristina uses big print and spaces each row for clear reading. So nice.

Have a beautiful long gradient yarn and shiny gun metal glass beads for this pattern.

Beads:
Placed a bead as instructed at each of the three cdd’s of row 7 at first.
The bead was getting lost in the stitch so I elected to place the bead instead at the p 9 area of r 6 as follows: (p2, p1 with bead) 3x.

Placed a bead:
at the end of every row (purl st),
along the garter st / vine style interface (even rows, p1 st before the market) and
at every bind off along the flower edge r 1.

Elected to work bind off without picots, but placed a bead above every cdd.

Used about 500 beads, ~ 1/3 tube.

Worked 24 flowers and thought I left enough yarn for the final two charts D and E, but after chart E, r 8. I only had 13 y, which would not have been enough for the picots. The final hem area is still very pretty.

New stitch:
I’ve done some Estonian lace before but the ‘inc 1 to 9 below’ was new to me. Not difficult at all.

Picot:
I don’t think I executed the picots correctly.
Mine are more open and lacey, but they’re all the same and are pretty, nonetheless, so to me, that’s all that matters.

One needs to concentrate at first, but after getting the hang of it, the project moves along.
