I’ve made this topper with these two yarns several times.
Makes a wonderful layering piece.

Made in a bigger size this time, since I have plenty of yarn in this color.

Stitches relax a bit upon washing with this yarn combo. Worked size XL (46” circumf x 20” length before washing. Size XXL (48” circumf x 20” length after).

The following are personal preferences, slight modifications of a clever and inspired design.

Recommendation:
Start arm opening shaping 6 - 8 rows higher, then add those rows to the lower torso section.
Pick up 12 - 16 fewer stitches for arm opening ribbing.

Recommendation:
On the under arm ribbing, decrease four st on the last row of 1x1 stitches: two at the beginning of the row and two at the end.
On the bind off row, bind of 2 tog at beg and end.
This decreasing prevents the ribbing from flaring out at under arm area. Non-wool yarns don’t always allow for shaping.

Neck ribbing: US 13, after pick up and knit row, 2 rows ribbing on this one, then the bindoff.
Arm opening ribbing: US 13, one row pick up and knit, 3 rows 1x1 ribbing, bind off.
