Notes

Yarn:
Had this special yarn from a friend, purchased wayyyy up in Northern Ireland. The Ronaldsay sheep breed eat seaweed. This 2-ply yarn has a light boucle feel to it, but it is not boucle. It feels like a cotton yarn as well. All that in a fingering!
Sheep raising, yarn crafting (entire) and dyeing and selling all occur in North Ronaldsay.

Design
I have made Alexandra Tavel
Mont Blanc Cardigan numerous times, which is the same style garment as this one only with a super bulky yarn.

Ribbing
Collar: Orkney yarn held double with single str Lima.
Sleeves: Orkney yarn single with one str Lima gray and one str Lima Tweed taupe.
Added 3 two stitch buttonholes on R side.
Will get large buttons.

Main sections
CO 58, Lima, held double. I always need more length.
Even so, my stitches are a little small, but upon washing and accounting for garment weight / hanging, stitches will be on gauge.

Front
Made each side piece 2” wider to allow overlap for button closure.

Back
Made 23” wide because I like a loose fit. I am not a small person and I like things to fit loosely.

After connecting main sections with sl st crochet, worked entire lower edge with very loose sc.

Kimono Sleeves
Made drop down sleeves.
Worked ribbing flat for 4”.
Worked 2” st st.
Dec 6 beg next two rows.
Dec 3 beg every row until 8 st left.
Bound off.
Seam: sl st crochet.
Attached to body, sl st crochet.
