Notes

This design is a showstopper.
It is meticulously written, like no other that I’ve ever seen.
Pattern includes a thorough photo tutorial / written directions and a separate section of written directions.

I was daunted at first.
No need.
It takes a while to make each component, but it is totally worth it.
The designer has put in great effort in not only creating a lifelike animal, but documenting every step.
Have patience.
Take breaks.
If I can do it, anybody can!

things that are batty good to know:
I have several recommendations, clarifications, corrections and a reminder in the Comments (tab upper right) of this project.

’Same Bat Time!
Same Bat Gauge!’:

:)
It is unusual for a designer to provide a gauge(s) for amigurumi, so that is greatly appreciated.
Achieved gauge with 3.25 mm hook for head, torso and appendages.
Wings call for a very small hook.
Used a 1.75 mm steel hook because smaller hooks proved too difficult to stitch with. Fortunately, that hook resulted in the proper gauge.

Closing Statement:
Having made this design is the crowning achievement of my life, which includes a bachelor degree in biology and having produced two children.
