Notes

The Great Lakes Long Cowl is not in the ravelry database. It’s essentially the same pattern as the Long Cowl which used a bulkier yarn.

Fleurettes is a unique yarn that creates a beautiful fabric. One needs to take the time to position the loops twd the RS as you go. It takes a little time, but it’s worth it. There’s plain yarn space betw the loop clusters so there’s little poofs of loops here and there on your fabric. It’s not for a beginner, perhaps, but a little patience is all that’s needed.

The spacing of the loop sections made rows of diamonds! A repeating motif with no effort at all! Kinda miraculous.

Up a couple needle sizes since I carried three str of the fingering along with the fashion yarn. The four str tog = bulky. CO 32.

Worked patt st st vs garter st because it was easier to keep the loops on one side. In this case, used the purl side as RS.

Added a few rows sc for button placement on one end and buttonholes on other. Used M/N 9.0 mm hook, loosely.

Added sc row along ea long side edge because the edges were curling in.
