Notes

This pattern is very simple, but looks complicated- like woven knitted strips.

This Alaska yarn is very pretty- has a metallic quality to it, but it is simply wool and acrylic.

Cast on 30, in order to have a selvedge st on each side.
Worked 7r garter st acr for hems.

For smooth side edges, sl 1st st ea r, keeping sl loop loose.
( sl pwise after r’s 6 & 12 and garter st hem rows, moving yarn around for next st).

Works up quickly and makes a very nice gift.

Upon machine wash, tumble dry, scarf became more drapey without shrinking or stretching and remained colorfast.
