Get to use dinosaur bone sized needles.

CO 6 for a little more width. Worked a regular long tail cast on. Pulled out about 1 1/4 y before casting on and used that for a sc hem with a big crochet hook. Knit first and last stitches of every row. Sl first st pwise yif for side edge finish. Worked wraps 2x and 3x vs 3x and 4x as written.

One could adapt this pattern many ways by varying the number of stitches cast on. One could use multiple str tog of a worsted or bulky. Several colors at once would be very pretty.
