Added length to this cardigan pattern for a poolside swim suit coverup dress. Finished yoke sleeve opening areas in shell patt without adding any more length to the sleeves themselves.

Directions are very clear. When I got stuck on one area of the written patt, the chart cleared in right up, and I’m not a chart person. This was a fun and quick project.

Up 0.5 mm hook size to enable a bit more ease.
Intentionally off guage: 1 3/4 shells/ 2”.

Used braided Russian Join for sk end joins. Worked only 2 dc for the triple shell those areas because of the doubled yarn for a few inches. The shell with the joined yarn then matches the others.

5 La Mode 1 1/2” ( 38 mm ), style 20974 plastic buttons: black faceted, made in Italy. Big! Shiny! Pretty!

Fashioned a 60” self belt using one set triple shell repeats.
Used every last inch of yarn.

This yarn is lovely with incredible drape. It had excess dye that came off onto my hands when worked. Upon MW, gentle, 2x in warm water, rinse water was clear. Upon tumble dry, gentle, garment was ready to wear! Buttons didn’t get tangled up in open weave spaces.
