Notes

Thanks again to the incomparable Ms. Alexandra for this great design! I have made it twice before with great success! Works up quickly- less than a week.
Directions are very clear.

A great garment for a teacher to throw on when her classroom gets chilly:
Rian’s Nevada Mont Blanc Cardigan #1
Rian’s Cabernet Claret Mont Blanc Cardigan #2

Tweed solid main section.
Metallic for the borders.

Tip:
Use a 40” length circular needle.
I’ve been using a 32” needle and it’s hard on the hands when working the ribbing bands.

Needed a few more rows on main pieces to achieve correct width. For back, repeated r 1 - 17 before bind off.
For fronts, repeated r 1 - 8.

Added:
10 r k2 p2 rib at lower hem.
Sleeves: shallow shaped sleeve caps.
Front band with button / buttonhole closure.
Two inner pockets with unplied yarn, single str. One can never have too many pockets!

Set in sleeve modification:
sleeve rib band, CO 76 st, as written with sparkly yarn, 10 r k2 p2 in the round, marker placed. Change to regular yarn and work one row. Bind off 6 st before marker and 6 st after marker. Work remaining rows flat, st st, dec 3 st at beg every row until none left.

If you want the sleeves to drop down more, work a few rows st st straight up from the ribbing or work fewer decreases at beg of rows. It’s not a big deal to make a sleeve, see how you like it and make adjustments.

Small pocket, 5 1/2” x 6”:
US 10 1/2, CO 25, st st 35 r, 3 r seed st, bind off.

Larger pocket, 6” x 6 1/2”
US 11, CO 20, st st.
