Whipped this up along with a scarf and fingerless mitts.
Was going to make a different hat, but it was going to take too long. I’ve made this one several times.
It is fun, easy and quick.
Looks great, too.

Used H/8 5.0 mm hook because I guess I don’t have a 4.5 mm one. Oh, well.

Notes from prior hat:
- Worked 50 stitches for extra length for a folded brim.
-Started with fhdc, vs chain.
-Patt: beg ch 2 = hdc.
Elected to ch2 and hdc in 1st st, ea row.
-Elected to work front most loop for all rows, vs back loop as written. The effect and the look is exactly the same and it is faster and easier.
-Sl st seam, WS facing, virtually invisible on the RS vs sewn seam as written

Takes about 5 hours to make.
Done in time!
