This isn’t my personal pattern. It’s available as a kit from Craftsy: designed by Deja Joy, using Sprightly Acrylic Wool Super Bulky yarn. Directions are very clear and include three sizes.

The pattern is seamed, but the seam area is imperceptible. One can pop the hat on without worrying where the seam is.

Easy, quick and fun to make. A one evening tv project. Adapted for this yarn by holding it double.

Note:
The pattern states to use an ‘L’ hook 9.0 mm.
L hooks are usually 8.0 mm.
The skein wrapper lists to use N-13 9.0 mm hook.
9.0 mm is the one to use, regardless of the letter or number designation.

It feels great on and is nice and warm, with plenty of depth to cover the ears
