A quick project. Not a girly scarf, which is nice to have. The fabric has dense stitching but is still has a very nice drape.

Cast on 14 for wider scarf. Have two sk. Am at guage with needles one size down from pattern. Pulled out a yard or so of yarn before casting on in order to make 1 r sc with P 11.5 mm crochet hook for beg hem edge. 1 r st st at final hem edge.

For side hem edges, k last st ea r, sl first st pwise yif, move yarn to back clockwise for next knit st. If second st is purled, the yarn is already in place.

I get confused on patterns where r 1 is WS, and this is one of those. After working the first set of the 16 r patt, it’s easier to keep track of rows.

Upon hand washing, a lot of excess dye came out, but after a few rinses, water was clear.
