Notes

Easy project that’s great for a last minute gift. Upon washing, scarf became nicely drapey. It did not shrink or stretch. The color changed from a solid bright blue to a heathered, tweedy denim blue.

A lot of excess dye in the wash water. Rinse water clear. If one had a project in two colors of this yarn, the darker color might affect the lighter on in an unexpected way.

Top photo is after washing.
Second picture is before washing.
Third picture is yarn formerly known as ‘Fringe’.

Fringe didn’t fare to well in the wash. Several inches of the fringe threads broke off or became tangled, clumped and ragged. Before washing, fringe was 6”. After, ~ 2”, trimmed. Kinda disappointed about that. I recommend tying a knot at the end of each fringe strand to keep it intact.

This is a lovely yarn, just not fringable. Plan on a different edge finish than fringe when using this yarn.
