Notes

A sweet baby gift.

So happy that this is a worked flat design.
I’m allergic to dpns and magic loop.

Suggestion:
Work entire design in st st if using a yarn that is smooth, without boucle texture or isn’t an eyelash / faux fur. Once you have your pieces made, you can decide which side you want on the outside / inside. If you work designated rows in rev st st, you’ll be limited later.

Suggestion:
The head is a little wobbly because of the narrow neck.
I recommend omitting a few rows of the neck so that area is more stable.

Gauge:
Design gauge: 21 st, 35 r with US 2 1/2, 3.0 mm needle, DK yarn
Don’t know how the designer got that.
Manuf gauge for the design yarn is 20 st, 29 r US 6 4.0 mm needle. Anyway…

Started over a few times to find a gauge that was dense but didn’t break my hands. I usually have looser stitches compared to any design.
I got 24 st, 34 r with US 4 3.5 mm fingering yarn. I couldn’t go any bigger because the fabric would’ve been too loose.

Elected to close the body section by cinching the stitches rather than seaming flat.
Elected to have muzzle and inner ear in contrast yarn.

Issue:
Didn’t really understand the directions on assembling the inner and outer arm pieces. The arms seemed too long as well, so I adjusted for better proportion.

Wish the design had a few more pictures.
