Picked up this yarn at a bargain. All wool. I thought it was very beautiful.

Worked contrast yarn worsted, held triple, for edges, a fluffy trim.

Elected to work pattern flat and add button closure.

In the round, the pattern is five rows.
In the flat, it’s ten.
Pattern is in multiples of 6 st.
Cast on 12 more than patt for a little more circumf.

The pattern is easy.
If worked in the round, one can see what to do easily because the RS is facing all rows. One can work the pattern until the yarn is used up. The pattern can end on any row.

This is a good project for a quick gift.
The stitches relaxed a great deal upon washing.
It’s a double cowl, for sure, if desired.
One can shape it into the desired smallness as well if yarn is all wool.
A striking gift.
