This is an incredible design. The directions are very clear and each section is meticulously shaped. Each leg is custom shaped for its position. It’s worth the effort to make the legs as written.

pattern calls for 4.0 mm hook.
want a smaller bear, so, using smaller hook.

The stitches for each row are written a bit awkwardly, but in light of the incredible design overall, that’s something one can overlook.

Used buttons for the eyes because I couldn’t get embroidered eyes to look right.

Made a short, flat tail similar to what polar bears have.
