pattern states:
5.-12. 1sc in all 52st 40
correction:

Modification:
Worked r 4 of each semicircle piece with sc blo.
Worked r 5 of center piece in sc blo.
This made the bottom of each semicircle flatter.

First semicircle:
Elected to facilitate the curve after r 20 by working:
(one row 5 sc, 14 hdc, 5 hdc, then 3 rows sc) 2x.
(5 sc, 14 hdc, 5 sc) 2x.
(3 rows sc then, one row 5 sc, 15 hdc, 5 sc) 2x. Remaining rows (20) as written.

Second semicircle:
Worked hdc rows in similarly.
Beg circle and inc rows, 20 r even, (1 row hdc, 5 r even) 6x, 15 rows even, dec rows.

Third semicircle:
As above, working () 9x.

Yarn quantity estimates:
bulky yarn, single str, ~ 430 y total.
center base: 65 y
first semicircle: 85 y
second semicircle: 130 y
third semicircle: 150 y

Held rickrack yarn double stranded thru out.
Added squiggly streamers at the bottom of one semicircle for decoration and to use up the yarn.
