Notes

A spectacular shawl with this amazing design, pretty yarn and beads. And it’s pink!

It is best to make this shawl in a light, solid yarn in order to bring out the pretty stitches the most.

It is also beautiful to use one color for the stockinette section and another for the lace.

Learned garter tab cast on for this project.

In this pattern, the stitch pattern that stands out is the ‘make 7 stitches from 3‘.
There’s also k4tog and slip 3, k1, psso.
The placement of those results in a very pretty four lobed leaf within the diamond, which is named ‘water lily’ in Estonian patterns.

Added diamond motif to various places in st st section.
The number of rows is fixed in this pattern. The rows needed for one diamond motif works out so one can place two rows of them in the stockinette section before arriving at the main lace section.

Worked mini motifs before beaded picot bind off. Had a mere four yards leftover.

This yarn comes in two half skeins, packaged together for those who use it to make matching socks.
