Color changes happen differently than usual. One needs to carry one yarn a few stitches because the color change row to row jogs over two or three stitches, depending on the row. The pattern states that color changes are easy, but doesn’t explain how. It takes a bit to figure out.

Down a couple hook sizes to obtain gauge.
Even so, while still overguage, one sk per color completed ea section easily. Achieved guage after washing.

Pattern cautioned that one needs to be on guage or one could run out of yarn before the section is done.
Suggestion:
To avoid buying an additional sk of ea color and using only a small amount of ea second sk, get one more sk of the color you like best. For any given section where you run out of the color in use, simply use your extra sk for the remainder of that section. Jeans are patched up all the time. Your scarf will appear mended! Consider using the color ‘Topstitch’ for the mended areas for a little surprise of color!

Tangram
(Chinese “seven boards of skill”) is a dissection puzzle consisting of seven flat shapes, called tans, which are put together to form shapes.
The objective of the puzzle is to form a specific shape (given only an outline or silhouette) using all seven pieces, which may not overlap.
It is reputed to have been invented in China during the Song Dynasty, then carried over to Europe by trading ships in the early 19th century. It became popular in Europe for a time and then again during World War I.
It is one of the most popular dissection puzzles in the world.
A Chinese psychologist has termed the tangram “the earliest psychological test in the world”, albeit one made for entertainment rather than for analysis.
