Notes

The twisted stitch that makes this motif is very pretty, similar to a plaited braid. The big needles make it easy and quick.

It is so beautiful!

I don’t recall seeing a cowl like this in The Gathering episode of Outlander, but I’m glad the designer made it and that I saw it in this book!

CO 16 for a little more width, yarn held 3 str tog.
Elected to work WS p2, k1 vs p acr as written.
I thought that offset the 2 stitch columns beautifully.

Will add button closure.
Made it longer for easy double cowl and to be worn as a scarf.

If one used a solid yarn, the pattern would be more defined than with the yarn in my scarf.
