Notes

Used two color packs.
Estimated crochet time: 24 hours
Each row took 7 - 8 minutes.
200 rows.

Don’t know how people have gotten 22 st / 4” with 4.0 mm hook.
That’s a tight gauge.

Making a throw or bed blanket would take some patience, but the result would be worth it.

Worked a looser gauge and slightly bigger hook.
Adjusted counts for a baby blanket.
162 + 1 = 163 st / row
82 sc, 81 ch 1 sp.

Pleasant Surprise #1:
This is the first crochet project I’ve ever made that didn’t require constant stitch counting. I was able to work to the end of the rows, ch, turn, proceed, without issue. Couldn’t believe it.

Pleasant Surprise #2:
Designer states that separate side borders aren’t needed. That’s true, absolutely. The side edges look great as is.

Recommendation:
The designer cautions against working yarn ends by crocheting over them or crocheting them in as you go because the side edges will be distorted. That is also true. Weave ends in with a tapestry needle as you go or when the piece is finished.
There are quite a few yarn ends to deal with but it only takes a few minutes to take care of them.
