Notes

I’m a big fan of Ms. Denise.
Her designs are always well written, easy and stylish.
Very generous of her to offer her design for free.

Adapted for bulky yarn.
CO 60, very loosely.
Made with added height for wide brim and slouchy style.
Worked hat to 13” ht laid flat.
Hat is super stretchy and comfy.
Made in just a few hours.

A great winter set:
Matching scarf and mitts:

Blue Tweed Norrebro Mitts

Clarification
Pattern states:
Needles:
US # 9 circular needle (at least 24 inches)
US #11 circular needle, gauge depending
US #13 circular needle, gauge depending

I used 16” circular for the main section and two circulars for the decrease crown section.
If one didn’t have a way to work all the decreases, one could continue a few more rows to desired height, then the first decr row, bind off and cinch the crown.

Circular needles need to be no greater than 24”.
Since the hat is worked in the round, shorter is better.
One could work in the round with two circulars, (same diameter), if desired.
