Notes

After this one, I’ll have 6 of the 12 fairies finished.

These fairy dolls are not hard to make and work up surprisingly quickly.

Did you know:
A group of fairies is called:
a frollick, glade, flutter, troup, sparkle, charm, depending on what they’re doing.

The entire collection of fairies is included as a free supplement when you buy the designated Simply Crochet issue. An incredible offer.
https://pocketmags.com/us/simply-crochet-magazine/issue-1...

The yarn fairies are meticulously represented from Cicely Mary Barker’s Flower Fairies illustrations and poems.

Note:
All directions are in British Crochet Terminology.
(I converted the directions into US Terminology for myself.)

Recommendation:
Work r 23, 24, 25 of body with double str yarn, stitching tightly. Omit r 26 of body.
This strengthens the neck to support the head.

Directions state to make and put the clothes on the body before making the head. Very important. For this one, the top doesn’t fit over the head.

Suggestion:
Head:
Work r 1 with traditional sc, vs BLO. Work chain stitches as written.
