Notes

Joann Fabrics store leaflet calls this the Lavender Fields Scarf. Directions are very clear, however, photo shows fringe. Leaflet does not have fringe instructions.

This is a very simple yet beautiful design. Quick and easy. Can be made in two evenings or so.
The bias pattern is unusual and interesting.

The scarf is reversible once completed, but during construction, it’s imperative to know RS (even rows) from WS (odd rows). Most hand knits have RS as odd rows and WS as even.

Made in 2 days. It’s very light and airy even tho it looks heavy. Great gift idea.

If you want to make this design into a cowl, see fellow raveler rolliaknit’s Purple People Eater Cowl. She’s a knitting genius and a lovely young lady, too.

To achieve her 3 x 3 rib with bias movement, cast on in multiples of 6 plus 1 st. If you want a zigzag pattern, add or subtract 2 st at desired intervals.

Made a couple other versions of this in Bryn’s Swirly Swirl New Year Scarf 2017!!! and Robert T’s wife’s Swirly Swirl Cowl with great success.
