Adapted this pattern as a baby blanket with a lighter thick and thin yarn.

Patt:
4 r st st
4 r rev st st

To make a square:
increase one stitch at beg and end of every other row in patt. When half of the yarn is knitted up, work decreases in the same manner.
(or, inc one st at beg every row…)

I’ve made this design several times before as a scarf and as a cowl. It’s easy and fun to do.

The suggested needle and guage for this yarn is 16 st US 6.
Up a needle for a little looser fabric.

Really nice. Simple. Easy care. Yarn wrapper says machine wash, flat dry. Tumble dry med turned out just fine.
