Notes

I made this pattern with this yarn once before. The yarn has a lot of texture and it’s tricky to see the stitches.
It’s not hard but one needs to work it by trusting one’s fingers and hook. Not a good choice for a beginner.

The resultant cowl is very pretty and can be made in one evening.

Errata:
R1:
Patt states (1dc, ch1, dc) in 6th ch from hook (counts as dc and V-st).
If worked as above, one will have a V-stitch only and working row 2 as stated will be a problem at the end.

Correction:
R1:
1dc in 3rd ch from hook. Then, 1dc, ch 1, dc in same ch.
This counts as dc / turning ch and V-st.
In doing this, one will have 7 V-stitches.
Proceed as written for row 2.

Row 1 alternative:
Make a dc in the 6th ch from hook, and proceed as written. Turn and work row 2. At end of that row, make dc in ch3 of ch 6 of previous row. This completes that initial V-stitch and there’s no turning ch for that row only.
One will have 6 V-stitches per row in this case.

Proceed as written for row 2.

I don’t know how many V-stitches the patt intends. Either way works, but the length will vary, depending on which plan one follows.

Elected to work 31 ch for a little more width and use 1 1/2 sk vs one as written.

Carried fingering yarn double along with main yarn for drape, color and texture.
