Notes

This is a delightful design.
Very well written and thought out.

This is part of wonderful hood, mitt set:
Bunny Hand Warmers for Lucy

My swatch with US 8 yielded stitches bigger than gauge, so I went with US 7. Oddly, my gauge is the same, 15 st / 4”, so I’m just going with that. Doesn’t really matter if the hood / cowl is a little bigger.

Modifications:
Elected to work the lower trim and cowl trim in 1x1 rib.
Elected to work the hood trim in reverse st st.
Worked shaping at the crown of the hood with some decreases at back center for the last 6 rows, similar to a beanie.

Directions don’t state how many rows to place the ears.
I placed the ears 11 rows back, extending back thru r 15.
Didn’t fold the ears because it seemed too bulky.
Next time, might place the ears another couple rows farther back.
