Notes

30 Nov - My dollie deserves silk undies.

I had to modify the panties from the Sally the Eco Fairy as I changed my doll’s shape a bit. In order to accommodate my dollie’s butt I have had to increase into the first and the last 8 sts every 3rd row. I worked st st to the desired length and then bo for the legs etc, etc.

I think I need to make a lacy pair or Hey! - a dollie version of Mon Petit Chou and the Fixation Shorts. Woo hoo.

It took me forever to do her hair. I like it a lot but may have added waaaaay too much hair. It took me a few hundred pieces. Yikes. I also should have stuffed her more. Sigh. Not taking any more pics until my dollie has her other leg. I hope that yarn gets here soon.

27 Nov - Wow. I’ve run out of this discontinued yarn one leg away from being finished. Hmmmm. Luckily a wonderful member of the Purple Purl staff suggested that I try Four Season’s Knitting which happened to have one skein left. Woo hoo. Now that I have purchased it online I am sure that I shall find where I’ve stashed the rest of my Eco Knits Cotton.

Oh yeah, not only did I add a butt but I’ve added an innie bellybutton, a nose, lips and a longer torso. This was a tough knit for my hands but it is a great knit. Quick and cute. Trying to find just the right yarn for her big ole ‘fro is proving to be a challenge but I shall make a couple of wigs and go from there.

I adore this little doll. I am finally making it - woo hoo - as I find myself fixated with dollies of late. I have changed the body shaping, giving my dollie a butt, not quite as big as mine but close enough. :D

I am also working out her ‘fro ‘cause if I were a little dollie I’d want a big ole ‘fro too.
