Notes

this was a great instant gratification knit. every thing was great and the only query i had was when it came to the short rows. my starting point for the owl and the last part of the sweater was the back left shoulder - it was here as this fitted in with following all the other instructions, however if i had stick to pattern, my short rows would have put the extra shaping in the wrong place, so i just ignored it and did my own shaping. (for this reason i have given is a medium smiley face rather than the most smiley, it may be my own error so i will correct it once i work out where i went wrong.)Love this knit, but am seriously going to have to return to 4 ply knits as this was so quick i need to do things that keep my fingers busy longer. I love this pattern, and Kate Davies is just fantastic!

now i have knitted this up once, i am going to do it in wool for myself (my guilty pleasure). I love the shaping, but as i have a long body with a big bum and boobs, i am going to start with a bigger cast on and hem, and decrease as in pattern but repeat if a further few times so that it is longer and more hourglassy! So pattern will be the same from the smallest point of waist.
