ok, well here i admit it…. I have never ever knitted a pair of socks!!! there done it, it is out there!

so was looking for simple pattern and came across this one. I have previously been terrified by those ominous 3 little words, “turning the heel”, so this seems perfect as a starting point ( i may well love it so much that this becomes my staple ‘go to’ for socks!)

20th June 2017 - ok, will start this evening!
quite excited as have only knit dolls socks in the flat before. Watch this space!!

22th June 2017 - Going well so far. on first sock and decided to complete the heel before finishing the length and band if the sock. hope fully will finish one sock today.

23rd June 2017 - one sock finished and the second one started…

woo hoo, 24th June 2017 - FINISHED!!!! just got to block them and then hey presto!!!!

I am feeling extremely proud of myself for completing these. they are my first ever pair of human socks (have made many on the flat for dolls and teddy bears). this is going to eb my ‘Go To’ pattern for socks as it is so simple that you can chop and change sizes and lengths and also use different grades of yarn.
