Son said he had seen a hat with a Hyrule crest on Amazon and wished for it as a present.

I looked it up, and as I suspected, it was cheap plastic yarn probably containing dubious chemicals from dyeing, the only thing that made it a Hyrule hat was a patch which was sewed on.

In a knitter household this would not do of course.

So I went to Etsy, ordered this beautiful Hyrule crest patch, and went to work with Cascade 220. Went fast.

This time I took care that the hat would not become too short, so that the ears would be covered.

80 sts for 1x1 ribbing, then increased to 88 sts for the stockinette.
