Lace needles are a necessity for this project. The cast-on/bind-off (co/bo) at the end of every other row makes it difficult to drill into the stitch with just any needle. The sharper point on lace needles speeds the co/bo activity.

These instructions are very well written. Read them a few times through to get the gist of what the pattern is telling you to do next. Be advised that there is a mistake in the pattern design at the very end. Check with Interweave to find the right instructions.

I thought my gauge was too loose, but the project turned out just fine. I don’t think I would have wanted it any smaller.
