June 20: Awesome pattern! and a lovely FO! I am totally in love with it.. Its a lovely coincidence that I finished blocking on my birthday today. So, this is a birthday gift for me from myself! ;-)

The yarn was a RAK from Bebere and the pattern was a prize from PezJunky as a part of the UFO warriors challenge in the SAARC group. This is the only DK-weight yarn I had in my stash and I used up most of the 2 skeins. Say about a few yards of the yarn was leftover in the end.

The leaves are addictive.. since you complete the shawl body in one go and then add the knitted-on leaf edging, you feel a rush every time you finish a leaf and admire it. Blocking breathed life into the leaves. ;-) The shawlette grew by leaps and bounds lengthwise after blocking.

Pre-blocking: 78 inches long, 9 inches deep
Post-blocking: 92 inches long, 11 inches deep.
