Hooks: Tulip aluminum double pointed hooks size 3/0-4/0 (2.20-2.5mm).

I am making this hat in child size (16 inches circumference) for my stepgranddaughter, Eileen.

This project is indeed much harder than I realized. Amidst a couple other UFO’s, I finished this in 5 days.

The pointed feature took a couple of frogging because I forgot to skip the FPdc between the 3 FPdc’s at round 41. Good to remember to keep a longish FPdc near the top … otherwise, the stitches crowd and the pointed feature gets too short.

Worth all the hard work though!

Color notes: This hat is in “dirty ice cream” colors, that is, ice cream peddled in the city streets here in Manila, Philippines. The flavors are ube (purple yam), cheese and chocolate. :)
