First time knitting socks toe-up and knitting two-at-a time. I don’t think this will ever be my favorite way to knit socks (I’m rather attached to my DPNs), but they are handy skills to have.

CO 20
K 2 rows
knit toe, increasing to 44 sts per sock
K to 7 inches
24 heel flap rows
14 gusset stitches
decrease to 23 on heel needle
k 29 rows, inc on row 20
inc every 10 rows from here on
knit to a couple inches before the knee, decrease stitches so that final number of stitches is mult 4 + 2. k2p2 for desired length of ribbed cuff.
