Brie saw this yarn in the box before it ever got into the stash and said “Coraline!” And then she proceeded to find me the official pattern on line. What could I do? Good news is, it is a well written and straightforward pattern.

2/23 - Knitting and seaming done. Brie is “holding it in my heart” but won’t wear it until she sews the stars on. Is that teen code for ‘Nice effort, Mom’? For a teen figure, I didn’t need to do all the waist shaping. But who knows, maybe I will borrow it.

5/29/19: just sewed the felt stars on…four years later. Miracle of miracles, she still wants it!

But now she has to wait until it comes back from being displayed at the local library with other book inspired knits.
