I’ve opted not to stripe on the leg portion given that the MC is quite busy. I’ll likely be able to get 2 pairs of socks out of this Botanical Yarns Sock Set by adding in an additional 0.5” stripe of yarn before beginning the heel. At first I thought I’d do contrast toes and heels but given that I’m doing the contrast stripe before the toe - and the MC is quite busy - I’ve decided to stay with one colour on both.

• This method is not fast - took me at least an hour per sock (though I am entirely new to it so I wasn’t quick or experienced). I used Jawoll reinforcement thread (now sold independently of the skeins of yarn) so that I had a strong, lace-weight thread in a compatible colour. Update: I’ve just worked on my second pair and it went much more quickly. I have a feeling you could do each sock in 20-30 min if you have good lighting, a light-coloured sock and experience.

Leg:
20R 2x2 rib MC
54R MC stockinette (6” leg)

FLK heel - 11 / 8 / 11 - CC1

Use CC1 on heel.

Foot: Knit foot till 5.5” in MC (70 rows).

Then at end of R70 work 5R of CC2 (5.75” from back of heel)

Toe - Work in CC1

At the end of knitting MC over 2 socks I have 57g remaining for the next pair.
