Unknown wool-polyamide blend on the cone from Diteksas in Vilnius (Lihtuania). I used about 250 g of yarn, from which I conclude it is something between 270-300 m/100 g (similar to Aade Lõng 8/3).
The stitch pattern is well known but I found a nice version of it in the book on Estonian hand-knitting by K. Jõeste, A. Pink and S. Reimann (Eesti silmuskudumine, 2014). It says that the sample was from Kehtna school of houskeeping and handicraft (such schools were popular in Northern Europe in the 1920s-1930s).
I am pleased how it turned out. I am planning to use the stich pattern further with different yarns.
On my blog.
