I’m trying to decide if I should outline the diamonds in the same variegated yarn, or if I should use a solid black to make sure they pop out.

Back and front knitted. Time to do the crochet cross hatching.

Currently blocking prior to cross hatching. I really hope the cross hatching will bring out the diamonds better in the busy print. I’m trying to decide if it will be okay using the same yarn, or if I should use a solid black for the outlining.

This is my second time knitting this pattern. I don’t remember the chain embellishment being so difficult. I tried to use a crochet hook which looks simple but the hook snags on the fabric every single time and I finally gave up. Instead I’m using the needle option and sewing the daisy chains instead. It’s easier to control the location and alignment this way but will end up with more wasted yarn. I’m estimating about 4x the length of the diagonal for the initial yarn length to use.

I accidentally embroidered the wrong side of the back. I didn’t worry about it once I realized since the stitch pattern is reversible. But now that all embellishment is done and I’m stitching the sides together, I discovered that it causes the diagonals not to line up at the seams. Oh well, I’m not going to rip out all the embellishment!
