Last night I finished working from the neckline to the centre of the back (it is actually the fabric that covers the top of the back to the armholes). I found several errors in the instructions, so I decided to follow the charts and it worked perfectly.
The instructions for the diagonal pattern insertion in the back need to be clarified, too; I think they are phrased in a complicated way, when it is a very uncomplicated pattern of “travelling rib”. So, after unravelling my work twice, I decided to put a stitch marker ata each end of the “travelling rib” and it worked just fine, too! As for moving the marker to the right (on the RS of the work) not being practical, well, I just moved this marker to the left, while working that part on the WS. I hope it makes sense to the knitter. I know it saved me from a nervous breakdown.
I started picking up the sts to work for the Right Front. I’m not sure I like how it looks,, so I amy unravel it today, because the pattern is so good-looking, it deserves a good finishing on my part!

Unfortunately, I had to unravel and start knitting from scratch. I find the way the pattern is written a bit confusing, but I DO like the design and the yarn is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS (not to mention it knits perfectly although I unravelled the piece 2-3 times). I went through the pattern text very patiently and I printed out the instructions and charts for this size only. I also placed markers on the left side insert section contrary to the designer’s advice. It made all the difference and, for now, the knitting goes on smoothly.
