My first wee sweater ornament!
I was inspired by the many cute mini sweater ornaments on Ravelry, but so many of them have that “spread eagle”/“airport security scan: please hold your arms out” look, you know what I mean….
So, this was a little experiment with a bit of Opal fingering yarn to see if I could make a more fully-fashioned mini sweater.
I knit it top-down using magic loop. It’s completely seamless, raglan-style, with bell sleeves, v-neck, lace panel insert, flared bottom, and seed stitched cuffs, bottom edge and picked-up v-neck band. I made the hanger out of wire.
The cyberman toy was the only thing I had handy with articulated arms/elbows/shoulders to show that the sweater actually fits fairly naturally, although obviously a bit big for mister robot.
You see he’s actually dialing the Sweater Police to report me for size (and maybe style) violations! Maybe K-9 and the Doctor will save me…
Final measurements are about 5” spread across widest part of sleeves and just over 3” high (not including the hanger).
