I used embroidery floss for the facial features. I first tried the Palette yarn in black but it was impossible to get the right shapes because of its thickness. More importantly, because I never get the first try of facial features right and have to take out and rework my stitches multiple times, the yarn shed and left “hairs” that were difficult to remove.
