This spiral scrubbie is very close to what I currently make and use in the kitchen. However, it is too small to use as a bath sponge and because cotton has no real scrubbing effect, it was only ok as a dish cloth. The pattern originally called for acrylic yarn and I thought that was a mistake, since most kitchen items are made with cotton because of it’s absorbency but I’ve since learned that acrylic is a great yarn to use for a non-scratch abrasive and I might someday retry this pattern with that.
