The ball weighed 50g. I decided to join the Double the Fun Lace Kal in the group A Big Comfy Doghouse. I’ll try to keep up but I’ll do some of February’s clue before my hip surgery on January 25, as insurance for after it.

January 17 - Finished January’s clue. It used 5g - 45g left.

January 20 - Finished February’s clue. I would’ve been done yesterday but the Year of Cables mkal clue came out a day early so of course I dropped this to start the cabled one. I only had the transition rows left, which I finished this morning. It used 4g - 41g left.

January 21 - Finished March’s clue. It used 3g - 38g left.

January 22 - Finished April’s clue. I’m going to start May’s clue, but with 80 nupps I don’t think I’ll finish it before my surgery on the 25th. April’s clue used 4g - 34g left.

February 5 - Finished May’s clue. Seeing as I got a cold just before the surgery it was canceled but I’ve got a new date of April 3. May’s clue used 7g - 27g left. Nupps obviously eat up yarn!

February 6 - Finished June’s clue. It flew by compared to May’s clue with all those nupps plus I didn’t start and stop knitting it like I did with May’s clue. June’s clue used 5g - 22g left.

February 21 - Finished July’s clue. And I have a new surgery date of March 26, for now anyway. July’s clue used 3g - 19g left. Odds are good the last 2 months both used 4g but my scale is accurate with a tolerance of +/- 1g.

February 27 - Finished August’s clue. August’s clue used 6g - 13g left.

March 11 - Finished September’s clue. September’s clue used 5g - 8g left.

March 14 - Finished October’s clue just in time for Toni’s Shetland Sampler Scarf clue for March tomorrow. October’s clue used 5g - 3g left. Time to wind the second skein into a ball.

March 23 - Finished November’s clue. Ran out of the first ball on row 30 just short of the centre. November’s clue used 5g - 3g from the first ball and 2g from the second ball, which weighed 52g - 50g left.

March 25 - Finished. Yay! Well, finished knitting the scarf, I have no clue when it’ll be blocked seeing as tomorrow morning I’m getting my hip replaced. I didn’t even weave in the ends. December’s clue used 5g - 45g left.

December 23 - I finally blocked the scarf. I blocked it to 10” wide x 72” long. After blocking and relaxing it’s 8-1/2” wide x 70” long.
