The first ball of Surf weighed 51.2g. The second ball weighed 51.1g. The third ball weighed 52g. The fourth ball weighed 50.5g. The fifth ball weighed 50.4g. The sixth ball weighed 50.4g. The seventh ball weighed 51.5g.

I got gauge using my 4.5mm wood needles knitting flat. When knitting in the round I’ll switch to the 5mm as I need to go up a needle size to get the same gauge as knitting flat.

August 18 - I ran out of the first ball of yarn 22 stitches before the left side markers on the sixth row of the first set of decrease rows on the skirt.

August 25 - I ran out of the second ball of yarn 6 stitches past the left side markers on the second row of the fifth set of decrease rows on the skirt.

August 27 - I ran out of the third ball of yarn just over 1/4 through the sixth round after the joining round.

August 31 - I ran out of the fourth ball of yarn just before the dragonfly chart 3/4 through the 28th round of the waist to armhole shaping.

September 1 - I made it to the split for the armholes with 1.3g left of the fifth ball. I found a knot in the fifth ball of yarn.

September 2 - Finished the fifth ball on the 18th stitch of the first row of the armhole shaping on the back.

September 3 - Finished the back with 9.7g left of the sixth ball so I won’t run out. Yay!

September 17 - Finished except for washing and blocking. I did a test knit, which slowed down finishing this top. I had a total of 357.5g. The top weighed 340.8g. The trimmings weighed 1g. There’s 15.7g left. Before blocking the measurements are - hip - 27-1/2”/ waist - 23”/ bust - 25”/ shoulder to shoulder at the top - 14”/ neck opening - 9-1/4” wide/ height - 24-1/2”/ asymmetric hem - 3-1/8” long.
