Notes

This is a graduation gift for my niece, Katie who always looks stunning in purple. I used a machine washable yarn since it’s more user friendly in a dorm setting.

No problems with the pattern--it is intuitive and very easy to knit. I like that there are no “boring” purling across rows--just some knits and purls to work every 11 stitches. The pattern is very elastic due to the k1, p1 that is repeated. I knit about 13-14” unblocked with the first ball of yarn with 3 more balls to go. Love the yarn for this pattern because it’s soft with subtle color changes.

I would have loved to have knit this with Knitpicks Billow like the pattern called for but $65+ for an afghan is a little hard to swallow especially when the color that I wanted was unavailable.

BTW, the pattern is $1.99 at Knitpicks vs. $3.00 at Ravelry. I guess you’re paying for library storage at Ravelry if you buy it through them.
