Started 2nd skein of yarn on row 51 of the chart. Used the Fleegle 1.0 Beader to place beads. It’s a handy little gadget that really makes beading fun and easier than a crochet hook.
I couldn’t find 8/0 beads to match my 6/0 beads so I used the 6/0s throughout.
Knit part of the beaded chart before I realized that I had forgotten to change to the final revised chart. I just continued on, because I would have had to frog 10+ rows. I learned previously that squishing/smashing beads to remove them cuts this yarn. The yarn looks comparable to Jaggerspun Zephyr, but is much more delicate. I much prefer the Zephyr but it’s also more expensive and harder to find.
Bound off with a russian bind off in knit because it’s a more elastic bind off. The pattern just said to bind off loosely. I tried a traditional bind off but didn’t think it would block well because it was firm even when knit loosely. I bound off in knit (on the wrong side) because I thought a garter edge gave more definition to the bottom of the shawl and would keep it from rolling up.
Blocked by pinning the top edge and then pinning the bottom points out.
This is a very generous sized shawl. Roughly 20”+ deep by 72” wide. The crescent shape hangs beautifully from your shoulders.
